There’s an old saying in sport if you’re good enough you are experienced enough. The Challenge Cup Team had three inter-club debutantes all of whom contributed greatly to our success against St Anne’s.

The home Team was: Patricia Hunt who after a close match was called in just as she was going down the 19th; Lorraine Quinn who had her husband  Eamon on the bag, Lorraine won on the 17th two up and Mary Flannery established an early lead and finished her match 6 up on the 13th a great performance by the home team. In St Ann’s Odette O ‘Dea had a close match but beat her opposition 2up on the 17th, our third deb Kate Moran, Sindy’s daughter and how proud he would have been of her, was all square going down the 17th when she was called in. Our Two Super Subs were Anne Townsend in Sutton and Barbara Keatley in St Ann’s. we are also grateful to Marie Faller who stepped in to manage the away team in St. Annes.

We’re looking forward to the next round against Beaverstown on Monday 5th June at 3 40. All support, home and away, very welcome.
